In a scenario where more and more water management is carried out with the integration of computer tools and real data, the OMeGA project, funded by PDR2020, aims to develop an innovative and operational ITC tool. This tool will provide users with information on the quantity and quality of water in the reservoirs, the meteorological forecasts and the inflows and consumption of water, the volumes needed to maintain ecological flows, as well as recommendations to support the decision-making of the managers of the uses.

AQUALOGUS is part of the OMeGA - Optimization of Water Management Project, which intends to make an important contribution to the management of the reservoirs of hydro-irrigation perimeters, helping to better manage a resource that is increasingly scarce. The project is coordinated by MARETEC - IST, integrating four other partners.

This tool may become crucial at a time when volumes stored in hydro-reservoirs are reduced as a result of the drought periods that have occurred.
