Blocks V and VI of the Lezíria Grande in Vila Franca de Xira Irrigation Scheme, in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, allow the benefit of an area of about 2330 ha.

Out of the existing works, common to the whole irrigation scheme, the following facilities are used for irrigation of blocks V and VI: Caliça and Galés pumping stations, auxiliary pumping station of Conchoso, primary irrigation network, terminal structure of the main channel, secondary irrigation, network automation and remote management system, drainage network and road network.
